Federal and state programs fund over 2.2 million children in Head Start and Pre-K programs. CTB’s platform enables teachers to save time and use assessment data to track student progress across the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and state Early Learning Guidelines. Current assessment practices are a burden for teachers and do not give them adequate data to inform instruction. CTB has the opportunity to change this by providing a low-cost solution that can reduce assessment time, provide more reliable data, and help teachers to make data-informed instructional decisions.

Tammy Kwan is the co-founder and CEO of Cognitive ToyBox, which focuses on integrating research and technology to support early childhood educators. Her work has received support from the National Science Foundation, the Institute of Education Sciences, and the Robin Hood Foundation. Tammy holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA in Psychology from Stanford University.
